We recommend a mixture with at least 10% SERAMIS® plant granules. In order to further increase the water reservoir, the proportion can be increased as desired. Mixing ratio 1 to 10: 6 l of plant granules result in 60 l of soil mix; 12.5 l make 125 l soil mixCovering:By covering the soil substrate with an approx. 3 cm high layer of SERAMIS® plant granules, rapid drying out of the soil can be prevented. The light color of the granules reduces strong heating in intense sunlight. This effect has a positive effect on plant development, especially in the warm summer months. The cover also reduces fungus gnat infestation.100% pure:The pre-fertilised SERAMIS® plant granules replace conventional potting soil and reduce watering costs thanks to the optimal storage function.Repotting and potting:Carefully pot the plant, loosen the root ball slightly and remove excess soil and dead root parts. Choose the new pot or planter box so that it is significantly larger than the old one. To allow excess rainwater to drain away, a container with drainage should be chosen. Cover holes in the bottom of the container with gravel or a pottery shard so that only the excess water is rinsed out, but not the granules. Note: Containers with a drain should be placed on a saucer, as loose clay dust can be rinsed out during watering, which could lead to unwanted traces of paint on the bottom. Fill the pot or plant boxes, plant trays and tubs up to about half with either pure SERAMIS® plant granules or mixed potting soil, position the root ball of the plant to be potted and fill up evenly until the entire root ball is covered. Press the root ball lightly and water the plant with water until the soil or granules are well moist. Watering and care:To reliably determine the ideal watering time in planters, we recommend the SERAMIS® watering indicator. The location requirements of the respective plants in terms of light and temperature must be taken into account.
