Description

Himalayan black salt starts out as pink himalayan salt before traditionally being mixed with herbs, seeds, spices and heated to high temperatures. Despite its name, himalayan black salt is actually pinkish brown in color. Himalayan salt was formed over 250 million years ago during the Jurassic era and is found in the himalayan mountains. It was mined from the ancient sea beds inside the mountains, which were once covered by lava. This lava created a natural barrier to protect the salt from toxins and pollutants.
