Operation Air passes through an ion chamber where air-borne particles are charged with negative ions. Charged particles are drawn to the filter surface of the HEPASilentTM filter and retained. The purified air, now virtually free of contaminants, is recirculated in the room. HEPASilentTM Technology Patented HEPASilentTM technology makes the Blueair Pro Series incredibly quiet. The unit comes with 2 HEPASilentTM filters already installed: -Blueair Pro Particulate Filter. Contains a particle filter that removes dust, pollen, bacteria, pet dander, mold spores, and other airborne particles. The particle filter is made of polypropylene, which mechanically filters particles in the air.
