The chemical properties of the orchid substrate change due to the salts that are introduced with the irrigation water. Wear gardening gloves. In the room:1 - 2 days before repotting, it is recommended to water the orchid vigorously and fertilize a little if necessary. This makes it easier to insert the slightly moist roots into the new, slightly larger planter. Carefully remove the orchid from its pot and separate the old substrate from the roots. If necessary, the roots must be pulled apart slightly. Dead or rotten roots can be removed. Carefully place the orchid in the previously cleaned, transparent cultivation pot with a slight twisting movement and fill up the COMPO BIO GRANUPLANT® orchid substrate in portions to a level so that the new shoots come into slight contact with the substrate. Orchids can be watered using the dipping method or by adapted watering. Excess water should be removed from the planter after a short exposure time. The water used should be low in lime (rainwater is ideal) and ideally at room temperature. Fertilising: We recommend the COMPO BIO GRANUPLANT® plant fertiliser.Use a conventional liquid fertiliser, e.g. COMPO COMPLETE plant fertiliser, with half a dose.
