Free the reel winch and pull out approx. 2 feet of cable.3. Pull the hairpin and release the fork pin from the winch hook.4. Remove the four screws that secure the two halves of the split hook cable stop.5. Place the cable or rope between the two halves, insert the four screws, and then tighten.6. Reattach the hook to the cable end.7. To retract the hook, the clutch handle and wind the cable on the winch reel until the hook fits into the hook plug and fairlead.8. Set the hook plug to approx. 3/4 of the total line distance towards the hook, when using the winch.
