The heartwood extract, known as "catechu" or "katha," has been used in dyeing, tanning, and as a component of traditional mouth fresheners and herbal blends. In the UK and EU, it has been present in imported botanical goods, craft formulations, and dye preparations since before the 20th century.Preparation & Application:Used as a natural colourant and astringent component in herbal blends, incense, and craft preparations.
