Easily get rid of these annoying rodents. br />Damage caused by voles is annoying. But you can get rid of them easily. By burning the gas cartridge in the vole burrow, the strong-smelling lavandin oil is distributed. The scent of a special type of lavender spreads through the tunnel system and keeps voles away. Instructions: Carefully expose an inhabited tunnel, identifiable by fresh vole or mole mounds, with a spade to a sufficient extent so that a cartridge can be easily placed there. Remove the cap from the cartridge and light the fuse. Do not work directly in front of your body to avoid damage from flying sparks. Place the cartridge in the exposed area of the tunnel. However, do not place it in the tunnel until the fuse has burned out and smoke begins to develop. The cartridge must be placed horizontally in the tunnel for optimal effectiveness. Never insert it upside down into an opening or crush it, as this could result in the flame being extinguished due to a lack of oxygen. Ensure that the ignition is not blocked by loose soil or roots in the passage. Close the opening immediately, e.g., with a stone or board, to prevent gas from escaping. Seal any gaps with soil. Take care not to damage the passage, as this would prevent the gas from spreading. The cartridge will burn out within seconds. Ideally, do not remove the cover from the hole until the next day. This ensures optimal spread of the gas and allows the cartridge to be removed safely. The cartridge will be very hot immediately after use. It must cool down completely before being disposed of with the waste. After burning out, a residue of ash and plastic remains in the cartridge.
