Source Climate Change Coffee Organic Dark roast coffee 227g - 3 Pack

Experience the rich, bold flavors of Gishwati Cloud Forest coffee, expertly crafted from beans grown just 60km from the ecologically unique Virunga Park. This region is renowned for being home to a quarter of the world's remaining mountain gorillas and the rare, zebra-patterned Okapi. Once a thriving habitat for diverse primates including Chimpanzees and Golden monkeys, Gishwati Forest faced severe deforestation during the tragic genocide, leaving only 6km of native forest by 2001. Sourced from 700 dedicated organic farmers committed to sustainable land management, this dark roast coffee not only delights your palate but supports vital environmental restoration efforts. While the project is not yet carbon registered, ongoing initiatives aim to establish a payment for ecosystem services program to further incentivize conservation. In the interim, the carbon footprint of this Rwandan coffee is responsibly offset by carbon credits from Ugandan farmers within the same community network.
