A play for ve women set in Stratford in 1582. Lady Lucy is portrayed as a kneeling child on her parents tomb at Tenbury and also in effigy with her more notorious husband at Charlcote. Sir Thomas Lucy was a timeserver and a persecutor of Catholics responsible for a number of executions including several members of Mary Shakespeares Arden family in 1584. He was said to have been the cause of Shakespeare leaving Stratford and he was almost certainly the butt of Shakespeares wit as Justice Shallow.
