Product description: Bog bedding plants such as rhododendrons need acidic soil with a low pH value. Common problems with rhododendrons:Weak flowering, yellow or brown leaves and stunted growth occur again and again in rhododendrons and other bog bed plants, although sufficient fertilisation and watering have been carried out and neither fungal diseases nor pests can be considered as the cause. The reasons for this lie in the special needs of these plant species: not only do they require a low pH value (ideally 4.5 to 5.5), but they also place special demands on the soil. However, the pH value is often too high, the soil tends to waterlog or dryness, and the nutrient supply is severely impaired due to unfavourable soil conditions. SUBSTRAL® Soil Treatment Rhodo-Vital is a soil additive with added nutrients based on highly effective seaweed for the targeted treatment of rhododendrons and other bog bed plants. The high-quality ingredients improve the water, air and nutrient balance of the soil in the long term and lower the pH value by up to a value of 1 within just one year. However, the entire soil recovery process takes 1 to 2 years. In difficult soil conditions, regular use is recommended.
