Dosage: 20 g/m2 (20 g = one heaped tablespoon) For an even application of the fertiliser, we recommend a spreader. Please note a walking speed of 1 m per second. When applying by hand, it is best to spread 1 time lengthwise and 1 time crosswise in half the application rate. Wash hands after use to remove dirt and odor. Avoid contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water if necessary. Water the fertiliser thoroughly after application. New sowing & turf: Before sowing or before laying the turf, spread evenly on the prepared area and rake lightly into the soil. After scarifying: Apply fertiliser to dry lawn. Then water. Carry out follow-up fertilisation, e.g. with SUBSTRAL® long-term lawn fertiliser. When is the best time to fertilize? SUBSTRAL® Start lawn fertiliser can be used from spring to autumn. In hot, dry summer months, however, a new lawn is not recommended. What do you have to pay attention to when using it? New lawn sowing and the laying of turf are best done in mild weather with occasional periods of rain, i.e. in spring or late summer. They must be kept moist at all times during the first 3-4 weeks to prevent bald spots due to drying out. The first mowing should only take place when the lawn has closed and the blades have reached a length of at least 10 cm. Scarifying is preferably done in spring when the soil has dried. Disturbing thatch and moss are removed and the grasses are stimulated again to better rooting and tillering. If the area is very patchy after scarifying, reseeding is recommended in parallel to fertilisation. AREA OF APPLICATION: Turf: Turf is professionally nurtured and cared for during the cultivation phase. Therefore, SUBSTRAL®starter fertiliser should be applied before installation to stimulate the root formation of the grasses. The first "regular" fertiliser is applied about four weeks later.
