The mice are offered nest-building material treated with two active ingredients, which is completely harmless to the host animals, but deadly to the ticks. Young ticks, which feed almost exclusively on mouse blood in the early stages of their life cycle, are destroyed by Thermacell® tick repellent before they can infect humans and animals with Lyme disease and TBE. With eight tick rolls, an area of 340 m² can be covered for 12 months.
