This is a genuine Vernet EL 0744 wax thermostat element for which is used to regulate water temperature in thermostatic cartridges. It is rare that this part becomes faulty however it happens on occasion.The element screws into the thermostatic assembly, measuring 48.5mm in total length, with the metal element part measuring 7.50mm in diameter.
