A piano hinge has two equal leaves joined by a pin along its full length; it opens to 270 degrees, and the edges are polished and bevelled for a neat finish. Fix with glue, which is not supplied: the flush and grooved faces give the adhesive a contact surface, so no drilling or screwing is needed. Acrylic and polycarbonate are similar plastics, used interchangeably: acrylic gives good strength and UV resistance, polycarbonate higher impact and heat resistance. For small display cabinets, boxes, jewellery boxes, lids and model making. Also called continuous hinges or full-length hinges.. || Please see the technical image illustration for size references.
