This oil additive has superior sicativating power allowing rapid drying. To simplify, the Kortrijk drier puts the oil 'in hyperventilation' to demand more oxygen and thus accelerates the hardening of the pictorial layers. Contains calcium and zirconium salts. Greater siccative power than white siccative. Siccative through the oil. Reduces the gap that naturally exists between the normal drying properties of most colors and the too slow drying properties of some others. Can be mixed directly with oil color (2% maximum), or with dilution solvents, at the rate of a few drops (5 maximum) per pan (5 ml).
