描述
Fritos Chili Cheese Corn Snacks is a brand of corn chips first created in 1932 by Charles Elmer Doolin. At the time, Doolin owned a confections company and wanted to add a salty snack to his company's product line. He acquired an original recipe for fried corn chips from Gustavo Olguin. With the recipe, Doolin began making the corn chips in his mother's kitchen with the aid of his father, mother and brother. Doolin, his parents and his brother made up the first four members of the Frito board of directors. They began selling their Fritos products under the name of the Frito Corporation in 1932 out of their home's garage. By 1934, they had opened production plants in Dallas and Tulsa to expand their area of operations and manufacturing power. Fritos, like these chili cheese corn chips, are made from deep frying whole cornmeal.
