Press the gauge legs out of the barrel2. Insert the legs (conduit) into the root space or the two pieces of pipe to be fitted, rotate the 90ÃÐ gauge, taking care to apply constant back pressure to the barrel3. Hold the indicator as square as possible with the fixture to get an accurate reading. Lock the set screw. Flip 90ð and remove the indicator, now you are ready to read the increment opposite the red line4. When you red line in line with 1/32 line increment, have good internal alignment and match-up.
