Kenko's research shows that the larger the glass element, the greater the glass distortion. We developed a ne.w special technology that aims to minimise stress on the glass and provide the best optical performance of the filter.By adopting the ne.wly developed 'Floating Frame' System Technology, which provides a special elastic cushion layer between the glass and frame, we succeeded in firmly fixing glass while reducing the pressure to a minimum level. We achieved sensational results in resolution performance of the filter that provides the photographer great advantages especially when a 4K or 8K camera is used.THE COMPARISON OF SURFACE ACCURACYFilters were positioned on glass according to the ne.wton Standard, which is a flat surface with an allowable margin of error 0.1, and ne.wton rings were checked. Flatness of the glass is evaluated by the number and form of ne.wton rings. On the left image there are lots of irregularly-shaped rings, showing the glass surface distorted and twisted.
