It does not set out to offer treatment or a cure that is a matter for the Medical Profession. What it does offer is help and support for those who in their turn are helping and supporting the sufferer. The simple techniques described are neither unique nor exclusive but have been developed over many years of experience as a Family Doctor during which time they have been found to be an effective adjunct to professional care. This booklet has also been used as a training aid for new recruits of the local branch of The Samaritans.
